Lymph Drainage Reflexology
Lymph Drainage Reflexology is a specialist reflexology treatment which focuses on the lymphatic reflexes on the feet, that stimulate the function of the lymphatic system; to encourage the flow of lymph and drain excess lymph from any swollen areas of the body.
Sian trained with Sally Kay – who developed this award-winning reflexology technique in response to supporting women who found they had swelling following surgery for breast cancer. The treatment was a success and significantly reduced the swelling in the limbs of those who received it.
Lymph drainage reflexology works by using specific pressure with thumb, finger and hand techniques to stimulate these reflexes, focussing on moving the lymph into the lymph nodes, into the blood stream and then removed from the body.
It is especially helpful for people with Lymphoedema; for which there is no known cure and for those who have been left with a swollen limb(s) following breast surgery and usually after the removal of lymph nodes.
This treatment may also be useful for the following conditions:
- Aches and pains
- Arthritis
- Asthma
- Chronic fatigue
- Eczema
- Fibromyalgia
- Headaches
- ME
- Migraines
- Muscular tension
- Pre-Menstrual Syndrome
- Sinus problems
